Our Mission

The purpose of the Yorkton Soccer Association is to develop soccer for Yorkton and District participants through the promotion and support of soccer in the atmosphere of fun, fair play and competition.

Background information

The Yorkton Soccer Association (YSA) has been active in the City of Yorkton since the early 1990’s.  Bylaws were developed and it became incorporated in 2000.  It is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to organizing and promoting indoor and outdoor community soccer for boys and girls ages 4-18.  The YSA is affiliated with the Sask. Soccer Association (SSA) which is the provincial sport governing body for soccer in the province.  As a result of this affiliation, the YSA is responsible for overseeing all soccer activities in the City of Yorkton.

YSA has a good working relationship with the City of Yorkton – Leisure Services Department and the schools in the Public and Separate School Divisions.  YSA works in cooperation with the Flexi-hall and the school divisions to rent space and provide equipment for soccer activities.  We do not charge for the use of our equipment during the indoor season at the Flexi-hall, this is part of our strategic plan to assist soccer development.
